What is Whatsapp payment?
Whatsapp Payment is a new feature added by WhatsApp early this year 2018. WhatsApp Payment is available on WhatsApp version above 2.18.46, This feature allows the user to transfer money from their bank account to another bank account using the UPI system. WhatsApp Payment is not available to all users now, but there are some ways by which you can use WhatsApp Payment. Whatsapp payment feature might be available to all Indian users soon.
How to know if you have WhatsApp payment or not?
This is very simple just go to Whatsapp settings and see if you have a payment option or not.
If it shows Payment option like in the picture above then you just click on WhatsApp Payment option and link your number with Whatsapp. If you don't have WhatsApp Payment then don't worry just read this and follow the steps.
How to use Whatsapp payment?
Like I told you above if you have payment option then its very easy to set Whatsapp payment, you just need to:
1. Click on Payment Option
Find the settings option on the upper right corner of your WhatsApp screen, then click on payment option.
2. Select Your Bank and verify your details
When you click on Whatsapp Payment option, a new page will open and there you will see a list of bank names. Select your bank with which your phone no. is linked. Then a new page will open which asks you to verify your phone no. Via sms, just verify your number. Now you'll have to verify your debit card details.
3. Link with UPI
Now, you just need to set up a 4-digit UPI pin, there you'll be asked of the OTP which will come to your mobile via sms. After that a confirmation message will come and you are now all set to use whatsapp payment.
4. Sending money
Now whenever you want to send money using whatsapp payment you just need to click on the clip button on screen bottom there you'll get whatsapp payment option.
Advantages and disadvantages of Using Whatsapp Payment.
